Bob Morris has a quick and poignant thought on Republican VP-Nominee Sarah Palin’s controversy about her teenage daughter.  I hope we stop talking about Bristol Palin entirely and promise that this will be my only comment on the issue.

I’m very glad that Obama said what he said, and I believe he means it.  I believe his judgment in these issues, especially when he is relatively unprepared, is spot-on and admirable.

Sadly, I don’t believe his more thought-out policy of (apparently, from what I’ve seen) splitting the difference on divisive issues between Democrats and Republicans actually gets near a healthy course, nor will it resist the abuse of a much more organized Republican party that can shift the compromise by half steps unilaterally.  Bipartisanship is something I’d love to see more of, but is not a goal to direct your presidency towards, but a symptom of a working and rational government.

… and the cow goes moo
